”Iris has been a piano instructor with the West End Community Centre Association for over 7 years. She has worked with various Community Centres and the Vancouver School Board for over 12 years.
Iris is an amazing piano instructor and it is clearly reflected in her registration numbers. Her piano lessons are always full and with waiting lists. She is extremely organized, knowledgeable and makes learning fun! Her students have nothing but fantastic things to say about her.I often wish all of our instructors could be like Iris. She always has a smile on her face and brings lots of energy to each and every class. What I am most impressed with is her ability to work with the public, especially children. She always encourages them to do their best and they are very comfortable with her. Iris has an excellent rapport with her students and their parents. “

“As a teacher with the Windermere Community of Music Programs, Iris has taught piano to children at many of the Windermere Family of Schools. Iris has been the ideal leader and teacher in the program showing talent, maturity and flexibility while taking on some of the m ore difficult responsibilities in the program. Her positive attitude and commitment to teaching has motivated all her students and demonstrates her genuine interest in helping create a more positive community. Iris applies the same generous and energetic leadership as an origami teacher and playground mentor with the Windermere Community Programs, a low cost after school program for needy children in the Renfrew Collingwood community.
Iris has demonstrated a mature understanding of what makes a community a better place to live and has worked to bring about a more caring and thoughtful approach to achieve a warmer and friendlier neighbourhood.”
